Live from our AI gateway's price list, checked 2026-11-04 14:48 UTC.
KerfCraft has no subscription. Modelling, drawings, cut lists and exports are free to use; AI credit pays for the assistant and AI images. Each request costs what the AI provider charges for it, as reported by our AI gateway, plus our margin. The prices below include our margin.

Pay as you go. No subscription.
Rollover credit. Your AI credit lasts 90 days from your last top-up.
Top up at least $15 before it expires, and your entire remaining paid balance rolls over for another 90 days. Free credit doesn't roll over.
Use your credit across as many projects as you like. There are no subscriptions or automatic charges.
Unused credit expires if you don't top up in time. Purchases are non-refundable except where required by law or under our payment provider's policies.
Your CAD tools and saved designs remain free to use after your credit expires.
Prices are in US dollars. Prices include VAT or sales tax where it applies, and your credit is the price less that tax. KerfCraft credit is sold by Stripe as merchant of record (reseller): Stripe takes the payment, and handles the tax and the receipt.
Assistant
Language models are priced per million tokens (a token is about ¾ of a word). A request reads your conversation and the design (input; the part it has seen before is read from a cache, at the cached rate) and writes its answer and actions (output).

- Very long conversations cost more: past the provider's threshold (for GPT-6.1 Terra, 272k tokens) the provider charges a higher rate, and we charge that rate × our markup. Clearing the conversation starts again at the base rate.
- Writing a new part of the conversation into the cache is charged at the provider's cache-write rate × our markup.

What things typically cost
Examples from real runs with the default model, at our prices. They are not quotes: the same request can cost more or less, depending on the design and how the model approaches it.

The rules
- Credit pays for the AI features only.
- Top-ups are the fixed packs above. Credit expires 90 days after your last top-up; a top-up before then rolls all of it over. Free credit, for example from an invite, lasts 30 or 90 days, as stated when you get it, and doesn't roll over.
- You need a balance of at least $0.20 to start a request.
- Each request is charged at the gateway’s reported cost for it × our markup, so the prices above are a guide to the rate; the app shows what every request actually cost you.
- All prices are in US dollars. Top-up prices include VAT or sales tax where it applies, and a top-up adds its price less that tax as credit. Stripe sells the credit as merchant of record.
- Outside the US, Stripe may show you a top-up converted to your currency at checkout, or your card issuer may charge a conversion fee. Refunds are paid in the currency you paid in.
- Prices can change at any time; the assistant shows a model's current price before you send. A change never applies to a request already charged (see the Terms).
