# Make an AI video

Make a short AI video of the view, with a camera move or with the doors and drawers opening, without changing the model.

> **AI credit.** This feature uses AI credit. AI help is pay-as-you-go. No compulsory subscription. Drawing by hand is free for personal use. Prices: https://kerfcraft.app/pricing

**Video with AI** sends one or more pictures of the view and your prompt to an AI video engine. The engine animates the pictures into a short clip. KerfCraft sends only the pictures and the prompt. The model of your design does not change.

The engine sees only the pictures that you send. It does not see your model. If a part is not in a picture, the engine makes it up. The result is labelled AI-styled, so do not take sizes from it.

## Make a video with a camera move

1. Set up the view. See [Set up a view](/docs/how-to/pictures/set-up-a-view/).
2. Click **Scene** in the 3D view.
3. Click **Video with AI**. The **Video with AI** panel opens.
4. If the panel shows a clip, click **Settings ▾** to show the options.
5. Type your prompt in the box, for example the light and the look.
6. In the first list, select the picture to animate: **current view**, **last render** or **last restyle**.
7. Select the camera move, the length and the resolution.
8. Select an engine. Each engine shows its price for this clip.
9. Read the price on the **Make video** button.
10. Click **Make video**.

A video takes a minute or two. The clip shows at the top of the panel, with the engine, the length and what the clip cost. Click **Download** to save it. The options fold into the **Settings ▾** line, and the **Make video** button stays below it. The panel keeps your last 4 clips for the project in this browser.

If the panel has more content than it can show, **More below ↓** shows at its bottom edge. Scroll the panel, or click **More below ↓**.

## Make a video of the doors opening

Use this to show what is inside your furniture. KerfCraft makes 2 photoreal renders of the same view: one with the doors and drawers closed, and one with them open. The engine animates from the first render to the last, so the inside is the inside of your model.

1. Set up the view in perspective, so that you can see the fronts of the doors.
2. If you want only some doors to open, select them or their unit. Otherwise all the doors and drawers open.
3. In the **Video with AI** panel, select **doors opening** in the first list.
4. If the panel says that the engine cannot take a first and last frame, click the **Use** button. The button selects an engine that can.
5. Read the price on the **Make video** button.
6. Click **Make video**.

The camera does not move in this video. To add a third render with the doors half open, tick **also a half-open keyframe**. This makes 2 parts of video, so it costs 2 times as much.

The renders take some time before the engine starts. After the video, the doors are open or closed as they were before.

## Ask the assistant for a video

You can also ask the assistant, for example "make a video of the kitchen with the doors opening".

The clip shows in the conversation, with the engine, the length and what the clip cost.

- To play it, click **▶** on the clip.
- To save it, click **Download**.
- To see it in the **Video with AI** panel, click **Open in Video panel**.

The conversation keeps a link to the clip, not the clip itself. When a clip is no longer one of your last 4, the conversation shows **No longer kept**.
